Burial Sites used to compile these lists

Amended September 2010

Home

The following summary shows burial sites surveyed in Norfolk.
They are arranged according to the number of persons mentioned on inscriptions. It is possible to gain a rough estimate of the number of individuals before starting a survey by noting the year in which the 1813 burial register was closed and calculating the number of years in which it was in use. At least sufficient idea to classify the survey as small (< 300), medium (300 to 600), large (> 600), or very large  (>2000)
The figure for people indexed is slightly overstated since the same person is sometimes mentioned both in the churchyard and inside the church. This figure also includes individuals mentioned on war memorials and persons mentioned on gravestones but apparently not buried in the same parish.
