C001 [Ledger stone immediately inside entrance door] Underneath this stone/ are deposited the remains of/ James BEDINGFIELD Esq/ Lieutenant in His Majesty’s navy/ third son of/ Philip BEDINGFIELD Esq/ of Ditchingham/ who departed this transitory life/ Decr 19th 1774/ in the 27th year of his age

C002 [White monument on South wall of choir] S. M. [= Sacrum memoriae] William/ third son of John James BEDINGFIELD & Sarah his wife/ born Decr 31st 1805/ who whilst serving as a midshipman in His M S Hind/ lost his life by the upsetting of a boat/ in the Scio Channel/ April 27 1823/ his body was found May 7 & interred in the garden/ of the English Consul at Scio/ a small monument is placed over his grave/ He was a most dutiful and affectionate son/ esteemed and beloved by all who knew him/ and from the testimony of those under whom he served/ promised to be an ornament to his profession
[Scio is better known as Chios, the Greek, formerly Turkish, island in the Aegean Sea separated from the Turkish mainland by a channel]

C020 [Inscription on slate in monument on North wall of nave] Sacred to the memory/ of the Revd Peter FORSTER and Elizabeth his wife
Elizabeth wife of the Revd Peter FORSTER/ and elder daughter and coheiress of Samuel HOWARD Esquire/ late of Brook in this County/ departed this life January the 19th 1810 aged sixty one years/ On the hearts of her relatives and friends/ is engraved the best monument of/ her virtues
The Revd Peter FORSTER lies buried/ in the same tomb with his beloved wife/ whom he survived little more than two years/ He died on the 19th of August 1812 aged nearly seventy five years/ fifty of which he was rector of this parish/ and forty six of Mulbarton also in this County
Eminently distinguished by sound and extensive learning/ a highly cultivated mind/ and the most exemplary conduct/ his memory will be long endeared to those/ who were accustomed to share his converse/ or were the objects of his care
This imperfect record/ has been here placed by filial piety/ as a tribute due/ to the kindest and best of parents

[West half] In this chancel are interred/ the remains of Philip BEDINGFELD Esq/ only son of James BEDINGFELD Esq/ who was the 5th son of Philip Bedingfeld/ formerly of Ditchingham he married first Mary daughter/ of Sir Edmond BACON of Gillingham bart/ by whom he had issue 5 sons/ and 3 daughters/ he afterward married Susan/ daughter of Francis SPENDLOFF gent/ of Norwich and relict of Doctor Norm FORSTER vicar of Rochester prebendary of Bungay by whom he left sons and one daughter here also were interred the remains of Susan relict of Philip BEDINGFELD Esq/ who died May 28th 179[4] aged 69
[East half] The remains of Mary his first wife/ and of James [buried 23 Dec 1774] & John [buried 12 Jul 1771] his third and fourth sons/ and Elizabeth his second daughter/ and Ann his third daughter who/ was married to the IVD Willm LEIGH/ of Rushall in Staffordshire [buried 7 Jun 1779]/ are all interred in this chancel/ his eldest son and heir Philip BEDINGFIELD Esq/ married Henrietta Priscilla only/ daughter and heiress of Robt HAMBY Esq/ of Ipswich in Suffolk/ he also resided at Ditchingham Hall/ several years but survived his father/ only five months and was also/ interred in this chancel/ Ph BEDINGFIELD the father died at Norwich/ April 27th 1791 aged 75/ Mary his first wife at Ditchingham/ Novr 1756 aged 41/ Philip BEDINGFIELD the son at Bath/ Sept 18th 1791 aged 47

C031[Monument on North wall of altar room] This is the [monument?] of S Phillip BEDINGFIELD of Ditchingham in the County of Norfolk/ whoe married Frances the fifth daughter of S Jo PARSON of Filcham [a place not identified] in the County/ of Cambridge a baronet he lived to the age of 28 years and died the 19th of Feb 1621
